MCC HOSPITALITY OPENS NEW RESTAURANTS ON LAS VEGAS STRIP THIS FALL: RE-LAUNCH OF DRAGON NOODLE CO. & SUSHI BAR AND INTRODUCING D.VINO ITALIAN FOOD & WINE BAR Talented trio expands operations by unveiling two concepts within Monte Carlo Resort & Casino
LAS VEGAS (July 27, 2009) – The partners behind Market City Caffe Hospitality Group announced the fall opening of their newest projects, the much-anticipated re-launch of Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar and the new d.vino Italian Food & Wine Bar, at Monte Carlo Resort & Casino. Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar, set to open in late August, will feature classic Chinese cuisine. Situated right next door to Dragon Noodle Co., d.vino will serve authentic Italian cuisine and will offer more than 150 wines including boutique selections, and is slated to open in early October. These new ventures, which continue MCC Hospitality’s successful restaurant collection on Las Vegas’ famed Strip, will provide visitors and locals alike with two totally different dining experiences.
Designed to please all palates, Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar will offer three culinary experiences under one roof – classic Chinese cuisine, house-made dim sum and sushi. With most dishes meant for sharing, Executive Chef Pui-Kee Hui creates menu highlights such as sumptuous plates of Hong Kong chow mein noodles with seafood, bbq pork and fresh vegetables, live lobster and Dungeness crab prepared in a variety of Hong Kong styles, whole steamed fish, house-made bbq pork buns and hand-selected fish flown in daily for sushi. Taking kitsch to the next level, the Dragon Noodle’s “Cosplay Lounge,” named for the Japanese fan term for “costume play,” will ring true to its moniker with the lounge staff playfully outfitted in costumes inspired by popular anime characters such as Sailor Moon’s Lita Kino. The lounge will feature a sake list selected by MCC Hospitality Group’s sommelier, Nick Hetzel, in addition to an international selection of spirits like shochu and cachaça. For those interested in exotic libations, there will be handcrafted tiki cocktails dreamt up by master mixologist Livio Lauro including The Purple Pearl (Moonstone Momokawa Black Raspberry Sake, Marie Brizard Cassis Liqueur, Sweet & Sour and Fresh Blackberries) and The Volcano, a rum-based cocktail for two served in a smoldering volcano-shaped goblet. With an experience to be unparalleled to anything else available on The Strip, Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar will fit the bill whether looking for dim sum brunch or late-night cocktails and nibbles.
At d.vino, Executive Chef J. Navarro, who honed his Italian cooking technique at Las Vegas’ Bartolotta’s Ristorante di Mare and Terrazza, will focus on classic Italian cuisine. Using only the freshest ingredients in his creations, Navarro’s menu will feature traditional, house-made pastas such as rigatoni with Italian sausage, tomato, peppers and onions, and lasagnette with carbonara, pancetta, and parmesan in a white wine sauce with a poached organic egg. Starters will include crudo, stuffed zucchini and grilled artichokes. In true Italian fashion, family-style menus also will be available. The restaurant also will feature wood-fired pizza, an artisanal cheese counter, a salumeria and an iced seafood bar. The wine list will include more than 150 selections chosen by sommelier Nick Hetzel focusing on wines from Italy and California and will include hard-to-find selections to satisfy your inner sommelier. d.vino’s Enomatic wine system will feature 16 special rare vintages that can be tasted in 2 oz., 5 oz., or 8 oz. pours.
Both spaces are designed by celebrated Los Angeles-based, award-winning design firm Ralph Gentile Architects and the architect of record, Las Vegas-based Aptus Architecture, which has worked on a number of distinguished projects in California and Nevada. At d.vino, the contemporary Italian design will incorporate a chocolate and mocha canvas splashed with bright pops of cherry tomato red and mint green within the restaurant, creating a sophisticated but playful vibe that is unique to Las Vegas. Next door, the décor of Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar will be themed to match the cuisine complete with colorful hand-painted murals inspired by vintage communist Chinese propaganda paintings and vibrant large-format menus with items listed in English and Chinese.
Dragon Noodle Co. & Sushi Bar and d.vino Italian Food & Wine Bar will be located at Monte Carlo at 3770 Las Vegas Blvd., Las Vegas, NV 89109. Both will be open for lunch and dinner daily with brunch available on weekends. For more information, visit www.mcchgroup.com.
